Adam Simmons Toy Band
Happy Jacket (Dr Jim 32) Adam Simmons Toy Band is a creation by Adam Simmons of bucketrider. The group is an octet, and its members are mainly younger musicians who play jazz in a contemporary style. The toys are integrated into the sound, not in a twee way, separated from the music, nor as a means of producing harsh discordance, rather the sounds of the toys are used as an essential element of the music. The result is a disarming playful jazz which charms with its innocence and impresses with its brilliant musicianship.
